August 2011.

 

That was the month of my awakening - the awakening of my passion for food. 

 

The intention was simply to take a semester in SMU as an exchange student in Singapore. Little did I know that such decision would change my life completely. In those four months, I found myself drawn towards finding new food concepts, giddily writing about my food experiences in a Tumblr account, and simply reinvigorated by the thought of eating.

 

Four months later (and 15 pounds heavier), I decided to continue this new passion when I came back to Manila. I stumbled upon OpenRice Philippines, and decided to use it as an outlet of this fervor - to use it as my food journal. Since January 2012, I've been chronicling my dining experiences as Openricer steffi.cchua.

 

Almost two years after, I decided that perhaps it's time to make my food journal a bit more personal by maintaining my own site. I know my reach would be limited; but the freedom and flexibility that this site would give me would more than make up for it. 

 

So allow myself to share a glimpse of my life of gluttony with you.
