Delivery Snippets: Deli by Chele Pop Up x Salmon HQ x Rollie’s PH
DELI BY CHELE (ROBINSONS MAGNOLIA POP UP)
A year ago, Deli by Chele had their first pop-up in Robinsons Magnolia and the response was positively overwhelming. We were there before opening time, but despite that, we were given a one-hour wait time for our deli sandwiches – and even had to come back hours after for our cheesecake order!
However, based on the feedback of other friends, others had to wait in line for hours for to get their orders!
For the pop-up, Deli by Chele had a pretty short menu offering – just a couple of sandwiches and their famous burnt basque cheesecake but they simply couldn't cope with the crazy demand.
NEW YORK STYLE BRISKET PASTRAMI SANDWICH (P490)
We got a New York Style Brisket Pastrami Sandwich each – and it was pretty hefty. Although a sandwich can technically be consumed by one hungry person, I personally had to space out mine by eating a halve for lunch, and the other halve for merienda. It was incredibly delicious though – the quality of each ingredient used was noticeable – from the bread, to the pastrami, to the spread and even the pickles! Personally though, I wouldn’t be lining up anymore especially since Deli by Chele offers build-your-own pastrami kits in their online shop. These kits give you even more value for money – and would offer you the freedom to create your personal perfect pastrami sandwich.
BURNT BASQUE CHEESECAKE (P200/Slice; P1550/Box)
I’ve been hearing about Chef Chele’s Burnt Basque Cheesecake for some time now and out of curiosity, I decided to get a slice in the pop-up –but as I’ve mentioned, we had to go back to Magnolia hours after just to claim it (they unfortunately encountered some logistical problems) but boy, was it worth that wait! It was wonderfully airy, light and smooth to the taste. I liked it so much that I started gifting it to some friends!
What makes it a perfect gift is that it comes in a gorgeous box – wherein, unboxing it is an experience in itself already.
