Dining Snippets in Cebu (2022): Dine Brunch + Bar x The Lobby Bar x Luzern Steakhouse
DINE BRUNCH + BAR
My dear Cebuano friends, Eugene and Marj Peteros, brought me to Streetscape, a commercial complex which evokes a similar vibe as The Grove in Pasig and The Clubhouse near Greenmeadows. One of its dining concepts includes Dine Brunch + Bar, which offers a perfect marriage between polished and cozy interiors – it may have just opened early last year, but you're guaranteed to feel right at home with its relaxed vibe.
SEAFOOD MARINARA (P465)
I opted for its Seafood Marinara which boasts of a gorgeous plate of squid ink noodles topped with large juicy shrimps. Each mouthful guarantees a beautiful medley of sweet, tangy and salty flavors. My only issue was that its tomato sauce seemed to be too watery for my liking – a thicker consistency would have made for tastier bites as the noodles would have been smothered more with its sauce.

THE LOBBY BAR
TRADITIONAL BRITISH BEER BATTERED FISH AND CHIPS (P600)
After my enjoyable stay at Radisson Bacolod, it just made sense to stick to the Radisson brand for my accommodations during my Cebu trip. The convenience of having an SM mall right beside the hotel is truly incomparable! The highlight of my 2-night stay in Radisson Cebu was my relaxing dinner in The Lobby Bar. Live entertainment serenaded diners who wanted to wind down for the weekend ahead. The music was loud enough for you to groove and sing along, but mellow enough for tables who still wanted to engage in conversations to hear each other. I enjoyed this vibe over a plate of perfectly fried San Miguel beer-battered fish and chips (made from Lamon Lamon – a local fish in Cebu) served with a lip-smacking good tartar sauce!

LUZERN STEAKHOUSE
My good friend John eagerly brought me to one of his go-to restaurants in Cebu, the Luzern Steakhouse. The restaurant had such an intimate vibe made more special by its attentive service. I can't believe that this gem of a restaurant is just within walking distance from the BPI building he works in!
TENDERLOIN STEAK (P750)
We got a plate of Tenderloin Steak each – which boasted of a couple of hefty but immensely juicy slices of tenderloin. Honestly, a little salt is all you need to pair with its tasty steak – save your gravy for the mashed potato instead! We enjoyed our steak with a side of Luzern's extremely garlicky Spaghetti Aglio e Olio (P320)!
